We like to demonstrate the way oomph can change up a room with just a few key pieces. After all, that was our original concept: Take a neutral upholstery ground and add colorful tables and pillows that all coordinate making decorating your home  a snap.

Today’s lesson will be illustrated by some shots from High Point Market where we changed out the pillows, coffee, and side tables everyday to get a fresh look for our booth. Our neutral ground in this case is oomph’s tini love-seat and chairs all in oatmeal.

How easy is that?

The concept is simple – pick a color and with a click of a mouse – you too can have a fabulous room!

Thank you Home Accents Today for choosing the Bolero Charleston Side Table for the “Color Wheel” wrap up from the market at High Point. We love that particular shade of red – Bolero. It’s not orange, it’s not purple, it’s not pink – it’s just plain GORGEOUS! A room lacquered that color would make Diana Vreeland swoon and Miles Redd green with envy. For now we will have to be content with just a few select oomph pieces in Bolero to add the exotic flavor this color connotes. It adds drama, exudes glamour from days gone-by and seems to carry us away to a far-off land. It doesn’t get better than that without an airline ticket!

The lucky winner of our Tini Tweet contest was selected by a random drawing to win the fireworks tini IV. She is Lynn Byrne, a designer who also writes the blog Decor Arts Now. She blogs about “decorative arts, fine art and whatever is new and now in the world of design.”

She must have thought us “new and now” because she featured an oomph piece on her blog before she became the lucky tini table winner! She selected the Fenwick Chart Table as a favorite from the High Point Market.

“This coffee table from Oomph has so much character.  While a map of Nantucket is featured, Oomph will customize with a map of your choice.  How about one from Paris?”

Sometimes even the best designers can order the wrong color or change their mind. It happens.  Occasionally we will produce a courtesy table for a designer show-house. And every once in a while we will discontinue a color or product. This is all good news for you! In our Sample Sale Room we offer new and gently displayed sample pieces to our clever oomph shopper. Don’t be afraid of these bargains. You will be in good company and maybe even have a piece that has been places you could only dream of!

The oomph Sample Room – don’t miss all the fun!

There’s about to be an exciting new room at your favorite store – the oomph Sample Sale Room! We are thrilled to announce that we have a place you can find your favorite oomph pieces that have been stars of magazine photo-shoots or debutants in the big city at a trade show and are now at a reduced price for the first time. Some are proto-types, others discontinued colors or products. We even have a few that were designer boo-boos . . . but all are genuine oomph!

We will have something from all of our categories – pillows, tables, chairs and more! There is usually only one, so you will need to act quickly. All items will be reduced in price and many will be perfect and brand new. We will also feature pieces that have been pre-loved and may have a little love-bite or two which we will reveal in the description.

We are so excited about this and hope we can make a few oomph fans happy! So stay tuned and watch for announcements or check our website regularly. Because when they are gone, they are gone and this is an opportunity for everybody to have a little oomph!

Let’s face it – there is more to the color of an island than just the water, beach and sky, although on an island that is a half mile wide and merely three miles long, it is hard to escape. There are colors everywhere – so much more than at home. Buildings are painted bright hues as to not be overshadowed by nature. The plant life and roosters, the latter of which are in strange abundance, are colorful and noisy!

It’s no wonder we started here with the concept that everyone needed a little oomph in their life and why not add some COLOR to an otherwise dull homescape. In fact, we must have been channeling the colors of the island when we selected our brighter hues.
